It's me
Photographer - artist - idealist - romantic - nature lover
Born on April 16, 1957 in Montevideo, as a child of European emigrants - mother Swiss, father German.
Grew up in Bavaria, stayed there until today and is very rooted in the landscape:
"Even as a child I was fascinated by pictures, nature and landscapes. In later years I became interested in painting and mainly painted landscapes with the help of photos.
At that time, the photo was more of a means to an end for me, for my painting, which was strongly influenced by the Impressionist style at the time.
However, this changed due to my increased interest in photorealistic painting, in which the photo was in the foreground. The aim here was, according to the photorealistic art movement, to create an image that should give the impression of a real photo in its hyperreal accuracy.
Later, after a long break from painting, I discovered photography itself, without the intention of creating a painted picture from it.
In doing so, despite the limited potential of tools that are available to me when taking photos, many unimagined design possibilities opened up to me.
I wish you a lot of fun and joy with my pictures
